Over the last 5 years I have become increasingly more and more passionate about plant based food, and the positive effect nutrient dense foods have made on my quality of life, athletic performance, and ability to keep up with my two energetic daughters! I am beyond humbled for the opportunity to share a little about what I’ve learned, hear the stories of others, and inspire my clients to choose a lifestyle that enables them to live a vibrant and fulfilling life!

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition*, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.

Her more recent interest and passion into the disparities of nutrition came about because of her realization through research that physicians are absent the necessary training to prescribe food as medicine, and advise on diet and disease. As an expert in health promotion along with her personal experience, living her life with an ill sibling, she is ever conscious of the need for good nutrition in prevention and disease.

Dr. Benton resides in Savannah with her husband and three children.  In addition to caring for them, she  provided ongoing support to her parents as they cared for her brother who underwent 110 surgeries and thousands of hospitalizations living with the same disease as the Elephant Man, until his death January 2017.

As a coach, I put the power back in YOUR hands.

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to explore their wellness goals with a trained professional. As an Integrative Nutrition* Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. Throughout my education, I have been exposed to the most cutting-edge dietary theories and studied highly effective coaching techniques to help you find the right lifestyle that works best for you.

Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together. As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively creating a much larger impact than they originally anticipated. We work on what they want to improve within the circumstances of their unique situation.
